The technical side of things If you’ve spent any time on the floor, you know the struggle. If the heat isn’t perfectly distributed, you get thin walls in your bottles. It’s a headache. We’ve tuned our modules for high-wattage density. This means the preform hits that glass transition temperature fast. We also match the voltage and wattage of your original Krones setup exactly. Why? Because nobody wants to deal with power controllers tripping in the middle of a shift. One quick tip: if you’re running a high-voltage setup, keep an eye on your ventilation. More heat flux means your oven gets hotter, so make sure your cooling system is doing its job to avoid heat soak. What’s actually inside? We don’t cut corners on the materials. We use heavy-wall quartz glass filled with halogen gas. It handles higher temperatures than your average IR lamp and pushes out a much more concentrated shortwave heat. We also coat the quartz to reflect the heat forward. Instead of wasting energy by heating up the back of the oven, the heat goes exactly where it belongs: into the preform. As for the fit, we use R7s or Sk15 connectors. It depends on which generation of machine you have, but either way, the connection is solid. No arcing, no vibrating loose—just a secure fit that stays put while you’re running at full speed. Getting them onto the floor The best part? This is a direct swap. You don’t have to mess with your brackets. You don’t have to rewire your cabinets. You just pull the old one out and put ours in. We spent a lot of time obsessing over the thermal output curve so your preforms don’t burn or come out cold. Your cycle times stay exactly where they are. Just wire it up, calibrate your zones, and get back to work. It’s that simple.
