They’re precision shortwave emitters built specifically for the brutal heat of PET preform ovens. The heat side of things Here’s the thing about the Contiform system: it’s picky. If your wattage or voltage is off, your heat distribution goes sideways. We’ve built these lamps to match the exact electrical load and footprint of the original units. If you’re running high-voltage arrays, you know the stress those filaments are under. Our tubes can handle the surge without popping prematurely. You need that power density to hit the glass transition temperature fast. If the wattage dips even a little, you’ll start seeing that annoying pearlescence or uneven stretching in your bottles. Nobody wants that. Glass and Gear We use heavy-wall quartz glass so the tubes don’t bow when things get hot. Most of these use R7s or Sk15 connectors. It means you can swap them out quickly during a shift change without hunting for weird adapters. We also have coated options that bounce the heat back toward the preform. It saves energy, which is a win. But a heads-up: coated lamps are a bit more brittle. Be gentle when you’re sliding them in, or you’ll snap the seal. Getting them running These are simple drop-in replacements. You don’t have to mess with your PLC logic or swap out transformers. Since the spectral output matches the OEM lamps, the PET absorbs the energy exactly how it should. One last tip: keep your cooling fans clean.
