Most shops stick with the big-name international brands for their drying and curing tunnels. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the price tag on those OEM replacement lamps is usually insane. We decided to fix that. We built our infrared lamps to be simple, direct replacements. You get the same heat and the same wavelength, but without the “brand name” tax.
Let’s talk heat
If you’re finishing wood, you know the drill. You need that surface moisture gone now so you don’t end up with sags or bubbles in your lacquer. It’s a nightmare to fix. That’s why we focus on wattage density. By tweaking the voltage and filament length, these lamps hit the right temperature almost instantly. You get that same steady heat distribution you’re used to. One quick tip: these things gethot. Really hot. Just make sure your ventilation is clear. If your airflow is choked, you’re basically asking for the lamp housing to overheat.
The build quality
We use high-purity quartz glass because it can handle the shock of being turned on and off all day. We also use a halogen gas fill. It stops the filament from evaporating too fast, which means the lamp actually lasts when you’re pushing it hard. As for the fit? We use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. You just pop them into your existing sockets and you’re good to go. No weird adapters, no rewiring the electrical tray, no headaches.
Real-world results
These lamps penetrate the coating to dry it from the inside out, which seriously cuts down your curing time for stains and clear coats. But here’s the thing: no matter whose lamp you buy, voltage spikes are the enemy. A surge will fry a filament every single time. If you want your replacement cycle to be predictable, use a stabilized power supply. It’s a simple way to keep your finish quality high while keeping your overhead low.
